JAMB Course Eligibility Checker
Candidates for the UTME/DE can utilize the official JAMB course eligibility checker to see if they are eligible for the course they have chosen to pursue. The eligibility checker determines whether the course you intend to pursue is compatible with the UTME and O’level courses required by your school of choice.
If your UTME/O’level courses do not match those required by your preferred school, you will most likely be denied admission to your preferred institution to study your desired course. The eligibility checker, on the other hand, will list the schools to which you are qualified for admission, if any exist.

To utilize the Eligibility Checker, go to the portal and choose your Entry Mode, Institution, the course you want to study, O’ Level for UTME, A’ Level for Direct Entry Students, and UTME Subject Combination.
Once completed, the system will generate a list of colleges to which such candidates are qualified for admission. You will also be alerted if you are not qualified for any of the schools.
Candidates should utilize this approach to determine their eligibility for both the course and the school. Before changing their courses or institutions, candidates should utilize the JAMB course eligibility checker to confirm if they are eligible for the course they wish to study in the school to which they intend to transfer.
All candidates who wish to further their study in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions are recommended to use the JAMB Course Eligibility Checker Portal to determine their chances of admission in particular programmes and institutions based on their O’ Level and A’ Level Scores and UTM.
How to Determine JAMB Course Eligibility on the JAMB Portal
- Log on to the JAMB Course Eligibility Checker Portal: http://eligibility.jamb.gov.ng/checker/ Choose
- Mode of Entry – Candidates can choose between UTME and Direct Entry.
- Choose a school type: degree-granting institution, NCE, ND, or NID.
- Select a Category > desired Institution > Course of Study
- Enter your A-Level and O-Level results.
- Choose a UTME/DE Subject Combination.
